Last updated · 27 Apr 2026SplitEasy is a phone app that helps you split bills with friends. It runs locally on your device. The free tier is fully usable without an account; Pro and Pro+ unlock larger groups, cross-device sync and higher AI scan limits.
Subscriptions
Pro and Pro+ are sold as in-app purchases via Apple or Google.
- Pro — $1.99/mo or $14.99/yr. Unlimited people per bill, up to 2 photos per bill, unlimited persistent groups with running balance, unlimited multi-currency trips (manual FX), up to 5 recurring splits, saved payment methods, cross-device cloud sync, bill history with search, receipt photo archive, CSV/PDF export, 4 AI scans per calendar month.
- Pro+ — $4.99/mo or $39.99/yr. Everything in Pro, plus unlimited photos per bill, PDF receipts (digital invoices), unlimited recurring splits, monthly spending insights per group, unlimited AI scans with priority queue.
Pricing is shown in the app in your local currency before you confirm. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel any time in your App Store or Play Store account settings — we don't have access to those controls.
AI receipt scan
The "AI scan" button sends the receipt photo to our parser at ai.uncle-z.com, which returns the structured items, totals, tax and service charges. The image is processed and discarded — we don't archive it, train on it, or share it. Quotas reset on the first day of each calendar month and are tracked per account (or per anonymous device id, for non-signed-in free users):
- Free — 1 AI scan per month
- Pro — 4 AI scans per month
- Pro+ — unlimited (subject to fair-use rate limits to prevent automated abuse)
The on-device "Quick scan" and manual entry are unlimited on every plan and never count against the AI scan quota.
Refunds
Refunds are handled by Apple and Google per their published refund policies. We can't issue refunds directly. If you've been charged in error, file a refund request through Apple's "Report a Problem" or Google's Play refund flow within their respective windows.
Acceptable use
Don't try to abuse the OTP system, scrape our servers, automate the AI scan endpoint outside of normal in-app use, or break the app for other users. Don't use SplitEasy to facilitate anything illegal where you live.
No warranty
SplitEasy is provided as-is. We aim for the math to be perfect, but you should always sanity-check the numbers before sending money. We're not liable for what you split or who you split it with.
Changes
If we materially change these terms we'll post a note in the app and on this page with a new "last updated" date.
